Want to OWN your own town?
Seriously, no joke, there is a town in South East Wyoming that is being auctioned off.
The town of Buford, Wyoming, located between Laramie and Cheyenne just off Interstate 80, is known as the smallest town in the United States. The population? 1.
The guy who lives there, and who also happens to be the mayor, is going to have the entire place auctioned off, with the starting bid at $100,000.
Here is what you can get for your bid: a gas station, convenience store, a school house that was built in 1905 and used as an office, a cabin, a garage, 10 acres of land, a three-bedroom house, a bunch of mailboxes, and your own ZIP code.
So if you can’t afford a house right now, no worries! You can own your own town in Wyoming for less!
