Colbie Caillat's song "Try" is about being yourself, and not trying to conform to anybody else's standards. In the brand-new video for the song, she and a group of women illustrate that message by putting makeup remover to good use.
The song is lip-synched by Colbie and a variety of women of different ages and races, all of whom are heavily made-up. Then, you see them wiping off the makeup and revealing their true faces to the world. One older woman removes a long dark wig, revealing that she's bald. Towards the end, we see the women in split-screen, one side made up, the other side natural.
Colbie herself also appears with and without makeup in the clip. At the end, she finishes singing without anything on her face at all. "Thank you to all the beautiful women that took part in the music video for 'Try,'" she tweeted.
"Try" is taken from Colbie's EP Gypsy Heart -- Side A, a teaser for her upcoming full-length album Gypsy Heart.
