It's a dirty little awards show secret: when a performer wins a Grammy Award, they have to give it back at the end of the awards telecast because it's not technically "theirs" yet: it's just a prop. The real Grammy -- with the artist's name engraved on it -- arrives later in the mail. Lorde just got hers.
The singer Instagrammed a photo of the box that contained her trophies, along with the caption, "wonder what was in this box huh." She then posted a black and white photo of herself with her new hardware: she's holding one Grammy, while the other is sitting on a table. She's captioned that photo, "Of the Year."
Lorde received the Song of the Year trophy, as well as the award for Best Pop Solo Performance, both for "Royals."
