Courtesy OWNOprah Winfrey's OWN Network is designed to be uplifting, and now it's tapped Sara Bareilles to record an uplifting song for its summer promotional campaign.
Rolling Stone reports that Sara has cut a version of the 1967 Jackie Wilson soul classic "(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher" to serve as the theme song for OWN's summer lineup. A promotional video shows Sara belting out the tune in the studio, intercut with shots from OWN series like Oprah's Master Class, Fix My Life, Oprah Prime, Lifeclass, Where Are They Now, Haves and Have Nots, Life with LaToya, For Better, Our America and more.
The video encourages fans to spread inspirational messages using the hashtag #HigherAndHigher.
"(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher" was also a huge hit in 1977 for singer Rita Coolidge.
