Bananas act as excellent antacids that protect the stomach and sooth ulcers. Bananas protect in two ways. First, substances found in bananas activate important cells that build up the stomach lining. This process produces a thick protective mucus barrier to protect the stomach lining from ulcers. Second, bananas have compounds called protease inhibitors that target bacteria that have been known to cause stomach ulcers.

Great For Exercise

Bananas contain natural sugars for sustained energy. They also contain a satisfying amount of fiber, and bananas are only 100 calories. This gives you the energy you need for regular amounts of exercise without loading you down with too many needless calories.

The high amount of potassium in bananas increases your attentiveness. It also acts to prevent muscle fatigue so your body can recover after a work out.
